The Herbert Hoover High School Library Webpage

Welcome to the Hoover High School Library website, the portal to your information needs. Please leave your food and drink at the door. Respect each other and our resources.

Use this website to find quick and reliable sources of information for your school projects and other information needs. We strive to provide links to the best places on the web, plus access to databases you cannot access on the free web. Check with the librarian for the login ID and passwords for the subscription databases or look on the bookmark taped to your computer.

We have a collection of fiction and nonfiction books, audio books, video and DVD films, and current and archived magazines. Books are checked out for 2 weeks. Reference books are checked out for overnight.

Printing
From the computers choose the HOVR printer. You can print 5 pages free, after that it is 5 cents per page.
Color printing is 25 cents per page.
The coin operated copy machine is 10 cents per page, dimes only.

Academic Integrity
We expect students to do their own work, to the best of their abilities.  Each will be judged according to the quality of his/her own work.  Plagiarism is copying or imitating the language, ideas, or thoughts of another and passing them off as your own original work.  Students are responsible for observing the standards on proper citation of sources for written work or other products.  Failure to abide by these standards will be reported to the appropriate school administrative authorities and may result in loss of credit for the assignment or even for the course.
